We specialize in designing and operating high-end polar expeditions that combine logistical excellence, world-class mountaineering, and environmental stewardship. From selecting the ideal expedition vessel to managing the intricate permitting process, our services are tailored to create once-in-a-lifetime journeys aligned with your goals.

As a full voting member of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) for over two decades, we are committed to safety, environmental responsibility, and full regulatory compliance.

What sets us apart is our unique ability to take you beyond the coastline. While others stay near shore, we go deeper inland to seek the best snow conditions and untouched slopes — thanks to the expertise of our founder, Darrel Day, a veteran of Antarctic mountaineering and expedition

The Operation

Heli-Skiing in Antarctica is a remote, vessel-based adventure unlike any other on Earth. All flights are launched directly from the ship, providing unmatched access to remote terrain.

Recommended expedition Length:

9–10 days to allow flexibility for Antarctic weather conditions.

Flight Base:

Ship-based operations with two helicopters, as required by permit.

Ski Groups:

Typically, a 4:1 guest-to-guide ratio, with 6–12 ski runs per day (weather dependent).

Terrain:

Pristine, untracked slopes in the interior of the Antarctic Peninsula.

The Vessel

The vessel is not just transportation — it’s your basecamp, your launchpad, and your shelter from the elements. Selecting the right yacht is essential.

We help you choose and charter a vessel that meets Antarctic regulatory standards and matches the needs of the Heli-Ski operation — in size, layout, heli-deck compatibility, and comfort. From luxury-class expedition yachts to specialist polar platforms, we know what works in Antarctica.

A successful Antarctic Heli-Ski expedition requires a world-class team with deep polar expertise:

UIAGM/IFMGA-certified mountain and heli-ski guides

with proven Antarctic experience

Expedition Leader, Assistant Expedition Leader, medic and Ice Pilot

all mandatory for vessel-based Antarctic travel.

Optional specialists such as naturalists

to enrich your understanding of polar ecosystems, and videographers to capture your journey.

A successful Antarctic Heli-Ski expedition requires a world-class team with deep polar expertise:

Traveling to Antarctica is not as simple as booking a vessel and flying a helicopter.

All expeditions must comply with the Antarctic Treaty System, IAATO standards, and MARPOL regulations. We take care of the full permitting process, operating as your licensed Antarctic Operator. Only companies with a longstanding presence and compliance record — like us — are authorized to run such expeditions.

Your gateway to the Antarctic Peninsula begins in South America.

To avoid the notoriously rough Drake Passage, most guests fly from Punta Arenas, Chile, via private charter to King George Island, Antarctica. These are not commercial flights and cannot be booked independently — we manage all logistics and bookings, ensuring your flight is scheduled and priced appropriately.

The Heli-Ski season in Antarctica runs from late November to February, coinciding with the window of optimal weather and snow conditions. While the broader Antarctic tourist season stretches from November to March, the prime ski months are narrow — making early planning essential.

Heli-Skiing in Antarctica is a rare privilege — few have done it, and fewer still have done it right.
